We will have a speakers to address both the millage & someone from NLR Animal Shelter about the strays. Please try to attend.
We will have the Argenta CDC speak about Homeownership in March.

Argenta's Stray Dogs

I have been in touch with NLR Animal Shelter & they have given me some directions for the neighborhood. If you see a pack of dogs or any strays please call Animal Shelter @ 791-8577. If it is after hours the answering machine will pick up & give you an emergency phone number, call that number(its the police) & report the dogs. They will be in touch with the shelter or an officer will pick up the dogs. The police have a key to an emergency kennel & can drop off the dogs.
I was told animal control did patrol the area last evening but did not see any strays. I passed on information that the dogs were seen entering the rail yard north of 7th st. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me or the Animal Shelter.

I want to apoligize for not posting more on the blog. This holiday season has been particularly busy for us, we have had out of town company, work & family illness but I am hopeful that things are returning to normal. My Mom is on the mend, my sons will be going home next week, I should be over my cold soon & I have 5 days off next week in order to recover!
Happy New Year's Argenta, may it be a wonderful year for you all.

This just in from neighborhood services:

This morning, several customers contacted the North Little Rock Electric Department informing them that someone was placing calls to NLR Electric Customers identifying themselves as an Electric Department employee and asking for debit or credit card information.

The North Little Rock Electric Department will NEVER ask for debit or credit card information over the phone. If you receive a call from someone identifying themselves as an Electric Department employee threatening to turn your service off, attempt to obtain the callers number and immediately report the call to the NLR Electric Department and the NLR Police Department.

For more information, contact the North Little Rock Electric Department Customer Service at 501.975.8888. To monitor updates involving this scam, follow the NLR Electric Department on its Facebook page at http://facebook.com/home.php#!/NLRElectric or online at www.nlrelectric.com.
