Newsletter will be late

Due to unforeseen complications (I forgot) I wasn't able to pick up the newsletter & get it into the post by Friday, it should be in by Tuesday.
I wanted to remind everyone of the meeting this Thursday. We are having a potluck. I am bringing chili, hopefully we will have cheese dip & other Cinco DeMayo delights. Please feel free to bring anything you want & come & join in the fun. I have a few topics I would like to discuss with everyone so it would be great if folks could drop on by for a few minutes & maybe have a bowl of chili, etc.
See you @ 6 on Thursday May 5th @ First Pres.@ 4th & Maple.

NLR Grass or Weed Ordinance

According to the latest edition of the NLR Neighborhood News the city ordinance requires grass or weed height to be cut if it EXCEEDS 8 inches in ALL residential zones. For commercial zones it has to be cut AT 8 inches. If it happens to be an empty lot the height can go as high as 24 inches. If you have any questions you can call NLR Code Enforcement at 791-8581.

Storms

Hope everyone is all right after last nights latest round of spring weather. Those of us in the 200 blocks were out of power, except the Miller's- we were so jealous!  But power is back & the hail didn't cause any damage to our property, how about any of you?
We did have a large tree limb down in the backyard but otherwise everything is ok! Hope the same is true for the rest of the neighborhood.

May Boosters Potluck

The plan for our May 5th Boosters meeting was to have a Cinco De Mayo Potluck; I have not heard from anyone wanting to particiapte but I wanted to send out one more reminder just in case. If we don't have the potluck we will still meet and discuss future plans for Boosters, like the block party & yard sale.  Please let me know as soon as you can. We may have a surprise guest speaker & would like to have time to speak with our local officer during the meeting/potluck.
