ACT Hosts First Farewell
Make plans to see First Farewell, a drama set during Sarah Bernhardt's 1906 visit to Little Rock, at Argenta Community Theater, September 23 & 24, with a Saturday matinee performance on September 24.
The script is based on facts of the great French actress' "First Farewell," after five previous American tours, and the occasion of her first performances in Arkansas. Her special train parked overnight at the Choctaw Station, and a carriage took her to the Forest Park Amphitheater, where she performed Camille, the English title of Dumas' play La Dame aux Camellias. Riding electric streetcars, an audience of 2,000 attended the play. Visit www.ArgentaCommunityTheater.com for more information.
